Erase Your Public Criminal History
Alabama law provides a way for qualifying felonies and misdemeanors to be removed permanently from your public criminal record, preventing potential employers, creditors, and others from knowing about your past crimes & arrests. We handle the entire Expungement Petition process for you, moving the Courts to give you a fresh start.
You Deserve a Second Chance.
Arrest records can haunt you long after you have successfully resolved a case in court. Past arrests often show up on criminal background checks conducted by employers, lenders, and others seeking information about your past character. The results of these background checks can hinder your ability to obtain a job or credit.
Fortunately, Alabama law allows for certain misdemeanors and felonies to be eliminated from your criminal record through a process called Expungement. When a court approves your Expungement Petition, that criminal charge or arrest (and any related court proceeding) is treated like it never happened. You do not have to disclose any information related to that arrest or charge when completing applications for employment, credit, college, or other matters not specifically mentioned in the law.

- The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency charges $25 for a certified copy of a criminal background check requested, which is required to be filed with the Expungement Petition;
- Alabama law also requires the payment of a $300 Administrative Filing Fee. due at the time the petition is filed. A court or docket fee may also be charged by the circuit court for filing the petition. The Administrative Filing can be paid at the time of filing.
If the expungement of more than one criminal charge is needed, our fee is $799* (same terms as above) for any subsequent Expungement Petition processed for the same client.
